Zeller Preservation is a historic preservation consulting firm serving the mid-Atlantic region.

We offer preservation services such as National Register nominations, Historic Tax Credit applications, grant administration, property histories, and regulatory compliance to a wide variety of clients, including building owners, developers, non-profits and municipalities. Founded in 2023, we believe that historic preservation is a tool that can create vibrant and sustainable communities.

02 National Register Nominations

Preparation of National Register nominations and Determinations of Eligibility for properties with local, state or national significance.
03 Historic Tax Credit Applications

Completion of State and Federal Historic Tax Credit Applications for each stage of a project, from feasibility and planning to Part 3 completion.
01 Environmental Review Applications

Assistance with navigating the Environmental Review process, including application preparation, design consultation, and Phase I/II surveys.
04 Historic Structures Reports

Documentation, research, and recommendations to inform future physical changes to historically significant buildings and properties.
05 Historic Architecture Review Board

Recommendations for bring rehabilitation projects in line with HARB requirements and completion of HARB applications.
06 Standards Design Consultation

Consultation for aligning historic preservation projects with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
07 Historic Property Research

Preparation of property history reports, outlining the story of a building through its previous inhabitants and local or national events that may have impacted them. The attached photo can be used for the Property History Research.

Becky Zeller

Owner of Zeller Preservation

Becky has over a decade of experience working with historic buildings and advising historic buildings owners. She provides historic preservation consulting on a variety of projects, specializing in federal and state historic preservation funding incentives. She has experience preparing National Register nominations, environmental review surveys, determinations of eligibility, Historic Structure Reports, and historic tax credit applications.

Tabitha O’Connell

Architectural Historian

Tabitha O'Connell is an architectural historian with extensive experience with National Register nominations, local landmark applications, cultural resource surveys, and historic tax credit applications. Tabitha previously worked for the New York State Historic Preservation Office and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Writing from Houghton University and a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from the University at Buffalo.
